Forklift
Instructor Course
Candidates attend a four hour formal training class which focuses on
OSHA's final rule of forklift operation training. The requirements for
training in the workplace are emphasized and all guidelines required by
OSHA.
Upon completion of the
course, Montana Safety Services Council, with request, provide all the
necessary materials for the Instructor to conduct his/her forklift
operator training at their facility. When completed, each forklift operator
receives their own certification card (fee is $10.00 per person). Montana
Safety Services also keeps an updated database of companies forklift
operator activity.*
* Please note that there are member rates
& non-member rates for usage of the forklift training materials upon
completion of the Train-the-Trainer course through Montana Safety Services
Council. If your company is a member of MSSC you get a substantial reduced

Workers and supervisors who have previously completed the 40-Hour or
24-Hour courses require annual training to retain their certification.

requires annual re-certification.)

To meet OSHA and AED Training requirements, “Source
Authority” 2005 American Heart Association Guidelines,
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency
Cardiovascular Care
The goal of this program is to help you gain knowledge, skills, and
confidence necessary to managed a medical emergency until more advanced
help is available.
This program will focus on your essential responsibilities as a first
aid provider:
· Recognizing a medical emergency
· Making the decision to help
· Identifying hazards and ensuring personal safety
· Activating the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) system
· Providing supportive, basic first aid care
You will learn about scene safety, how to protect yourself from the
risk of bloodborne pathogens, first aid and the law, learn and develop
basic life-supporting skills, basic Automatic External Defibrillator
operation, and how to perform a physical assessment and obtain a patient
history.
Based on your requests and needs, additional training and skills building
in caring for specific first aid problems is available, such as,
amputations, bite and stings, burns, exposure to heat and cold, injuries
to the head, eyes, chest, injuries to muscles and bones, injuries to soft
tissue, impaled objects, allergic reaction, asthma, diabetic emergencies,
heat attack, poisoning, seizure, stroke, and moving patients. Minimum
classroom participate time is 6 hours for essential training and skills
building with up to 8 hours recommended for add-on specific subjects.
