This two-day, 16-hour course covers all legal and required aspects of the classroom initial training for owners and operators under 30 CFR Part 48. The objective is to train new/inexperienced miners on the safety and health hazards in the surface metal/non-metal industry. Participants will learn their rights and responsibilities, job-related safety procedures and rescue and first aid and CPR techniques.
This course satisfies the MSHA classroom requirement for new/inexperienced miner training. Students will need to complete 8 hours of on-site orientation at a mine site. Upon completion, students will receive a 5000-23 training certificate.

This one-day course covers all the required annual training for owners and operators under 30 CFR Part 48 for surface metal/non-metal mines. Individuals who complete this course will return to the job with the necessary training to perform their work required by MSHA. Upon completion, students will receive a completed 5000-23 annual refresher training certificate. This certificate will need to be renewed each year after completion.
Requirement: Must provide proof of MSHA New Miner Training (Form 5000-23)

This half-day course covers all required training for miners who have; recently been employed by a new operator, transferred to a new mine, an experienced underground miner that has been transferred to a surface mining area, or a miner who has been absent from a mining facility for longer than 12 months. Upon course completion, miners will have completed the requirements to return to mining successfully. Upon completion, students will be issued a 5000-23 experienced miner certificate. The certificate will need to be renewed each year after completion.

This class gives new miners the instruction required to face health and safety hazards commonly found in underground mining operations. Students will be instructed on their rights and responsibilities, job-related work procedures, first aid/CPR, and rescue techniques.
This class will give new miners the 32 hours of required class instruction required to complete their 40-hour underground class. Eight hours of on-site specific training must be attained on-site, and according to the mine, operators approved training plan and will conclude the remainder of the eight hours required for underground new miners.
Class size is limited to 30 participants.

CANCELLATION POLICY: If you must cancel, please do so at least 2 business days prior to the start of training.
