Live Training
This 2-hour, live course is geared toward supervisors, high-risk roles and sites needing in-depth or compliance-level training. It includes practice that makes the skills usable under stress.
Additional Benefits of this 2-Hour In-Person Course
- Practice, not just information: Rehearse de-escalation in a role play and get feedback from an observer, so the skills are ready when you need them
- Seven hands-on scenarios and exercises: Apply each topic to realistic situations, including classifying incidents, judging warning signs, and deciding when to escalate
- Report-writing practice: Draft and peer-check a factual report, so you can report observed behavior instead of opinions or labels
- Emergency decision-making rehearsal: Work through a tabletop exercise on choosing the safest action, so you aren’t deciding for the first time under stress
- Deeper coverage of the four types: Each type gets its own slide with examples and risk-reduction measures
- Separate employee and supervisor focus: Supervisors get dedicated time on their responsibilities, not a shared block
- Fuller post-incident training: Covers organizational support, employee actions, and supervisor priorities for recovery, including trauma-informed communication
- Peer learning: Small-group discussion lets participants compare how the concepts apply to their own worksite
- Regulatory context: Explains how the OSHA General Duty Clause applies to workplace violence, with additional BLS trend data
- More time for questions
