The Montana Safety Services Council (MSSC) is a not-for-profit educational association established in 1993 to provide safety and health related services. MSSC currently serves more than 130 businesses in all areas of service; manufacturing, construction, medical, retail, wholesale, transportation, and refining throughout Montana and Wyoming. Services provided include occupational safety training, consulting, technical assistance, needs assessments, safety audits, and safety program development to our membership and the public at large.

Online Hazwoper Training

HAZWOPER 24 HR

This course covers 24 hours of instruction, required by 29 CFR 1910.120(e) (3), OSHA’s Hazardous Waste and Emergency Response training standard. This course is designed for workers on site only occasionally for a specific limited task and who are unlikely to be exposed over permissible exposure limits and published limits OR workers regularly on site who work in areas which have been monitored and fully characterized indicating that exposures are under permissible exposure limits and published exposure limits, where respirators are not necessary, there are no health hazards or the possibility of an emergency developing. This course is comprised of 14 sections, covering topics pertaining to work place hazards associated with Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER). HAZWOPER 40 HR

General site workers involved in clean up activities of contaminated sites require the 40 hour HAZWOPER training. HAZWOPER training is required for work at all contaminated sites.
This course covers 40 hours of instruction required by 29 CFR 1910.120(e)(3), OSHA’s Hazardous Waste and Emergency Response training standard. This course is designed for General site workers engaged in hazardous substance removal or other activities which expose or potentially expose workers to hazardous substances and health hazards. This course is comprised of 24 sections, covering topics pertaining to workplace hazards associated with Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER). Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a certificate of completion which is accepted by OSHA as documentation of training. Click here for more information.
